Overview

The Maiga AI Chrome Extension ("Extension") provides AI-powered token analysis for cryptocurrency tokens across supported platforms including Binance Web3, OKX Web3, CoinMarketCap, and CoinGecko. This Privacy Policy comprehensively explains what data we collect, how we use it, how we store it, and who we share it with.

Information We Collect

  1. Locally Generated Data (Stored Only on Your Device)

When you visit a supported token page, the Extension automatically detects token information from the page URL:

  • Token contract addresses (on Binance Web3 and OKX Web3)

  • Token slugs (on CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko, e.g., "bitcoin", "ethereum")

Purpose: This data is sent to our API to generate AI-powered token analysis. Storage: Not stored on our servers. Cached locally in your browser for up to 5 minutes for performance.

Airdrop Registration Data (User-Submitted, Optional)

If you choose to register for the oMAIGA airdrop through the in-extension modal, we collect:

  • Wallet address (required) — your cryptocurrency wallet address for airdrop distribution

  • Email address (optional) — for airdrop-related communications

  • X (Twitter) handle (optional) — for airdrop verification

  • Browser platform (e.g., Chrome, Brave, Firefox) — detected automatically for compatibility tracking

Purpose: To manage airdrop eligibility and token distribution. Storage: Submitted data is stored on our airdrop backend server. Submission status is stored locally to avoid repeated prompts.

  1. Locally Generated Data (Stored Only on Your Device)

The following data is generated and stored only in your browser's local storage (via Chrome Storage API) and is never transmitted to any server:

  • Extension settings — theme preference (light/dark/system)

  • Widget position — your preferred placement of the analysis widget on-screen

  • Cached analyses — temporary copies of API responses (automatically expire after 5 minutes)

  • Rate-limit tracking — timestamps of recent API requests to enforce usage limits (up to 20 requests per hour)

  • Airdrop interaction state — whether you have submitted the airdrop form, dismiss count, and cooldown timestamps

Extension ID — a randomly generated unique identifier (UUID) stored locally, used to link airdrop submissions to your extension instance

Data We Do NOT Collect

  • Browser history or browsing patterns beyond the supported token pages

  • Private keys or seed phrases

  • Cookies or cross-site tracking identifiers

  • Device fingerprints

  • IP addresses (our API does not log them)

How We Use Your Data

Token Analysis

  1. When you visit a token page on a supported platform, the Extension detects the token identifier (contract address or slug) from the page URL.

  2. The identifier is sent to the Maiga AI API (https://api.maiga.ai) via HTTPS.

  3. The API returns market data and AI-generated analysis.

  4. The analysis is displayed in the Extension widget and optionally cached locally for 5 minutes.

Airdrop Registration (Optional)

  1. If you choose to register, your wallet address, contact information (email and/or X handle), extension ID, the first token you analyzed, and your browser platform are submitted to our airdrop API.

  2. This data is used solely to determine airdrop eligibility and distribute tokens.

Local Preferences

Your theme, widget position, and other settings are stored locally to preserve your preferences across sessions. This data never leaves your browser.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties beyond the services listed above. All listed services are operated by Maiga AI.

Data Security

  • All network communications use HTTPS/TLS encryption.

  • No user accounts or authentication are required to use the core analysis features.

  • Locally stored data is protected by Chrome's built-in extension storage isolation.

  • The airdrop registration form validates input client-side before submission.

Your Rights and Choices

You can:

  • Decline airdrop registration: The airdrop modal is optional. You can dismiss it, and it will stop appearing after 3 dismissals.

  • Clear cached data: Remove all cached analyses and settings via Chrome's extension management page or by clearing site data.

  • Uninstall the extension: Removing the extension deletes all locally stored data.

  • Disable the extension: Temporarily disable it via chrome://extensions without losing your data.

  • Request data deletion: Contact us at dev@maiga.ai to request deletion of any airdrop registration data we hold.

Children's Privacy

This Extension is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at dev@maiga.ai so we can delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
